Good Times!

Sitting here today, because I`m supposed to.  Been having issues with breathing, and dizziness off and on since shoulder surgery.  Spent the other night in the hospital.  Had every test done known to man really.  Heart is good, lungs are clear, all panels are clean.  But, have inflamed lung and tube canals.  It hurts terribly, and cannot get a deep breath.  No Good!  Was not going to say anything, but Sara decided to tell the world…So, there you go…

Over the weekend was our 18th anniversary.  It was tough for me, because of the crud, but we went out.  Rare for us.  We used to go have a bite to eat, and watch a movie.  So, we did just that.  A supper, really a lunch at a new place in town, then saw a mid day flick.  That was the extent of our celebration…

As for fishing, we were on the creek, but, as mentioned, the week was cut short by illness.  We were getting some, but the river is getting lower, and clear.  There are fish around, but the pressure has been heavy.  So, we catch one here and there, with nothing extraordinary.  For now, we are out for a bit.  Need to heal up, then move along.  Hopefully good to go in a timely manner…

ASH!

ASH!

A Bit Damp…

We`ll just call it moist…It is actually cranking rain!  Big, big rain…Sometimes it is coming straight up!

Currently it is a wash out.  All of the rivers around the area are blown out and muddy.  Likely for a few days again.  Should be fishing the middle of next week.  If anything, there should be some new fish.  This year, up to this point, fishing has been pretty good.  Healthy fish too.

The rest of the weekend, we are going to rest.  Seems I have bronchitis to a degree.  It actually is pretty bad.  Have some pipe cleaner coming home now for that.  Going to just chill, be warm, and eat.  Hugging the fire.  Hard for me to sit, but need to apparently.  Much easier when the weather sucks.

Been working on the Parkinsons gig, coming in April.  Lots of good response, and have a good batch of donations coming.  So, thats good!  All we need now, if some nicer weather, and we can finally rig a brand new boat!

As for the rest, there are all kinds of neat things going on around here.  Lots of stress, anxiety, and changes.  Many of the fishing crowd seem to be having issues as well.  Trying hard to relax, be patient, and let things roll as they may.

Sportsmans shows are in full swing.  We will be at the Portland Show in a couple of weeks.  Hoping Sara can go some too, but that is another story…We will be all over the place, working in different area`s.  Mostly in the St.Croix Rods booth.  So, make the effort to hunt us down and say hello.  Also, moving around to various other places, including the foundation booth, with Rick.  Please swing by them, and see what the buzz is about.  It is a good thing!  Happy to help out, see as many faces at the show we can, mess around with cool rods, and good people…

For now, here we are.  Watching it rain, trying to get a TV channel to watch, and work on here.  Get rid of the chest and lung crud, and just be for a little bit…blognewyearseve#2

Fishing for a Cause…

Had some good friends come for a day yesterday.  Fishing has slowed some, but had a really good day, with great people.

Now, on a serious note…There is a fishing tournament, banquet and auction coming up in April.  The gathering is to generate money for research and a possible cure for Parkinsons Disease.  It will be held at Clackamette Park in Oregon City Oregon.  Fishing the Willamette River for early Spring Chinooks.  Following will be the banquet in the park itself.  We are looking for 4 to 6 people to buy into our boat itself.  Also, any donations toward the banquet, feel free to contact us with anything, or any questions.  As time goes, we will have more details of times, and schedules.  In the mean time, we are on the hunt for interest in the event.  First priority, is to fill our boat.  There will also be a booth for the event at the Portland Sportmans Show in February…

For now, there you have it!  We rarely do events like this anymore, but these guys are our family, we love them, and support them…blogrickbrian#2
