Had a long week. Had some things break, had some company for a couple of days, fixed broken things, and dealt with the health stuff. Some old friends came for a sleep over and some supper. Had some good conversation, and a day on the water. Getting harder for the young man to fish, but we manage. Either way, the dynamics have changed, and we hope to spend more quality time outdoors, rather than just being focused on killing fish, and the stress that comes with it. Seems as we age, priorities begin to change. Tough when you feel crumby, but try to enjoy the moment still.
Boat`s back at the dock, everything is rigged and ready. Should be a good week, with good tides, and plenty of fish around. Going to rest some, wait for this full super moon, lunar eclipse thing, and watch football…
You kind of get the idea. There are a couple of video clips on our company Facebook page, in case anyone is interested. Done posting now for the weekend. Just some updates about what we do around here. Back to work we go! We just thought this was kind of a cool picture. It is always nice to have someone rattling off pictures in the boat. It`s fun to see what you get.
Sara with a nice one, just after the previous photo…A good day, even though my ears are still ringing.
It`s Pure Genius.
Spent a day with the girls. Motor mouth jibber jabber all day long! My ears still hurt. Now I know why I am tired all the time, why I have grey hair, and little left. Caught some fish too!
A busy day at home. So tired, we can`t think of anything crafty to say. Some old friends, and some new ones. Not on fire, but scraped up a couple, with some other missed opportunities.
I have said for years, not to get me anything for my Birthday. Sara did a fantastic job making goodies. Pumpkin cupcakes. Very nice!
Fished today, and our long time customer, gave me one of the coolest, and most thoughtful gifts ever! Just the thought is all that matters. More than gracious…Between that, my wife, and my mother, it was a good day.
Seems we are on the last day of summer. We now have a cool breeze from the direct west. Leaves are starting to fall well now, and we have a week of rain on the way. The cooler, moist weather will be more than welcomed here. Animals should be running wild, and fish a plenty. Wednesday looks to be sporty too. Looking forward to a nice windy day, and a bonfire in the pit.
Have some good groups coming in for the week, so should be fun! Monday a good day with an old time friend and customer, and some at the end of the week whom have not been here for some time. Sara taking some time off to hit the river too.
Now, bring on FALL!
The fish are larger than they appear. At one time, Joe was 6ft 6 and 380 pounds. Still just a gentle giant though…So, there you go…
