Don`t work all day, and half the night, then drive 7 hours to come fishing! In the rain, fog, and hail. Especially during a full moon. Things go very wrong, and you are loopy as all Hell! Then you hit a wall, stagger to your bed, not know where you are, and hit the rack at 2:30 in the afternoon. Dinner was cooked at 5pm. Slept…Slept…And woke up in the morning to go back fishing. You are too old for that now. Ask us how we know this!
Been a very interesting week, and weekend for sure. Lots of rain, and wind. House is intact. Fishing was good when we were fishing. Tons of people sick. And working in the big city at the Portland Sportmans Show.
It was good to see some old friends, and made some new ones. Now we are recovering, and hacking out all of the city funk. Hoping we represented well. Some good things to come we hope as well.
The weather is supposed to calm down here shortly. Back in the game after a long week. There are other details too, but more on a personal level. Fishing for the next couple of weeks straight through, weather permitting, a small break, and into spring we go. Going to be quite busy! Stay fishy!
Just a taste of what`s been going on around here. We have been catching fish. Watching people sink boats, and also crash boats. Getting wet. Seeing some early spring sun. Seeing some sour faces. And everything else in between. But, we just keep doing what we do. Always entertaining, watching all of the hustle and bustle, when it come to fishermen.
For now, we are done for the week. We are off to the Portland Sportsmans Show. We will be in the St. Croix booth for most of the time, wandering when we can, and catching up with some old friends…Hope to see you there.
Had a small window and a break in the weather. We are, once again, in the middle of another round of wind and rain. Rivers are all shot again. So, now we wait. The good part was, when we did fish, we did well. Some of the guys now know, when I call, they need to come, and for a good reason! Back to chores and gear for the moment, until the next break in weather…Stay Fishy!
